Suzuki: Way of Life!

Like Toyota, Suzuki was originally founded at the beginning of the 20th century to produce looms. The first automobile prototype based on the Austin 7 was presented as early as 1937, but had to be discarded in favour of military orders.

At the beginning of the 1950s, Suzuki initially concentrated on the development of motorised bicycles and motorbikes with four-stroke engines. Thus, at the beginning, the Japanese company made a name for itself primarily in the motorbike sector and finally discontinued loom production. This was followed in 1955 by the Suzulight, a first small car that brought Suzuki immediate success in the automotive sector.
